Same Old Two Step!

When we have a task ahead of us that appears like it will take forever to accomplish, many of us give up. Likewise, if the task seems like it will be extremely difficult, we have a tendency to abort.

The only way to finish a difficult and time consuming endeavor is to actually start it and see it through to completion. To think a challenging task should be completed overnight is a mistake and so is giving up when it isn’t accomplished instantaneously. I realize we live in a fast food, high-speed Internet and instant message society, so we want results immediately, however, we shouldn’t move on leaving our task incomplete because the results don’t appear promptly.

There exists a failure to understand that if we work toward something in small incremental steps we can achieve great things and many things. Attempting to conquer the world in one swoop will lead to failure. However, the likelihood of achieving world domination is increased using small calculated steps.
